Dear Why Team member,
I hope you are enjoying this special week of Thanksgiving.

As we all know, America is known to be a melting pot, with people coming here from all parts of the world looking to build a new life. Imagine how many customs, habits and interests collided on this land. Were they each accepted and adopted by everyone living here? No! Then isn’t it interesting that this holiday, a day to celebrate gratitude, that wasn’t initially celebrated yearly, withheld the test of time and various cultures and became the quintessential American holiday?
Narrowing it further, Thanksgiving is THE holiday for the Why Team, so fill your cup to Overflowing.!

Why?

In a deep state of gratitude, we can feel overwhelmed with emotion much like a cup can be overwhelmed by the excessive liquid poured into it. It is only when we feel that our cups are overflowing that we feel we have more than enough to share with the ones around us. No matter if your cup is overfilled with joy and happiness or sorrow and bitterness, if your cup is full, it’ll overflow. But remember that one drop of honey gathers more flies than a cup of vinegar, hence be careful of your cup’s content especially this holiday!

Nothing fuels a life of abundance more than being aware of our own abundance- for ourselves and for others. We are all rich beyond belief, so if we are not feeling rich, we need only go beyond our current belief.
Any thought that we lack something is especially a thought to question.
Ben Stein said there is only one “get rich quick” scheme: gratitude.

This week, I am particularly grateful for the journey of my life, for all of its ups and downs and for the changes that never end, yet have always brought new beginnings and opportunities. Seeing and finding the gifts in all things can at times take tremendous effort, but with patience and time and with a desire to find the richness beyond the painful beliefs, the treasure is all the more appreciated.

Reflect on the story of your life. How boring it would be without twists and turns.? The Hero’s journey must have its dragons to slay and its valleys in which to persevere.
Are you thankful for all of it?
Look at you and what you have accomplished. Consider how you have cared for and carried yourself not only through storm after storm but also through the joys of life- there’s wisdom on how we recover from sadness and how we live happiness.
It truly is "All Good", we need only the eyes to see and the heart to feel.

"Don't run away from your vulnerability - it is a robust form of incarnation rather than a weakness." - David Whyte.

Especially this week, more than ever, BE in the moment, when you really see the beauty around you, in the colors of the leaves, in the eyes of your dog and the wag of his tail, the warmth of the coffee in your hands. Be grateful for the given moment, each moment given to you, moments that one day will no longer be, wasting-not the given moment and wanting-not for more. Just be so grateful to be, be with your loved ones and also thankful to have been with the loved ones that are no longer physically with you sitting at the Thanksgiving table, but in an indescribable spirit, are present through you and with those you love. When you are no longer sad for endings, but grateful for what has happened and for new beginnings, in each newly given moment, when the truth of enough is all around you and you are thankful for being and thankful for being in the lives of those you love, your cup is overflowing and giving thanks becomes a way of experiencing the gift of life that has no comparison.

During this Thanks-Giving Holiday, celebrating WHY we, the members of the WHY Team, primarily do what we do and live the way we live, remember and give-thanks for all that has been given to you. May you feel deep gratitude in those hugs and experiences of connection that give our lives true meaning each day, because the day we are living, is always our Best Day Ever. Even though we don’t have turkey and gravy daily, we can be grateful for each and every day we are given and spread that gratitude around us.

To you and yours, may you have a very HAPPY - BEST EVER -
THANKSGIVING!
