‘Cause since you’re living, why wouldn’t you be fired-up? I think more often than not, being fired up is taken in the negative. Hearing about injustice, self righteousness, being slandered or bullied can absolutely fire us up. But this week, let’s consider how we get fired up to the positive.

The first eleven years of my life were lived in Rocket City, USA: Huntsville Alabama. I was age 6 when Armstrong stepped onto the moon.
I remember everyone surrounding the television set with its rabbit ears and clicking knob to change the channels :-). I remember many subsequent elementary school field trips to the Rocket Museum. So maybe that’s where I started using the term Rocket Fuel to describe any ideas or insights that really positively fired me up.
I am known to often say:
“That’s Rocket Fuel”.

In order for a Rocket to accomplish its mission, it needs a unique kind of fuel we naturally call Rocket Fuel; of course there is no fuel more powerful.
I don’t know when I started using the phrase Rocket Fuel as a descriptor, but I believe it comes to me honestly.

Why is it that most believe being fired up is a negative, causing them consternation even if it’s an exciting positive that has someone fired up?
Of course, when Rocket Fuel ignites, it is powerful and brings with it risk outside the more habitual and more mundane sources of fuel in life.
I have seen those who become anxious when others become fired up even to the positive - encountering the unknown can be anxiety provoking.

This week we consider our Rocket Fuel. On what do you fuel your mind, body and spirit? What disciplines do you practice to get yourself into an optimal position for take off? If you haven’t already, consider more the daily disciplines that will fuel your best performance for self and others.

For me, it starts with the best sleep possible, all the lights on when I awake, prayer, meditation, Wim Hoff deep breathing, journaling, reading and then exercise/training - to fully light the fuse. I also enjoy my 10:00am black coffee and fast until Noon. These are some of my Rocket Fuel routines, what are yours?
Do you have them dialed in?
And if not, why not?

As we explored last week, our life-time is Now! - why wouldn’t you want the best fuel to achieve optimal results?
Got excuses?
We all have them, and you may need some special Rocket Fuel to get rid of them. Do your research on those you admire most, those who have achieved the most - check out their daily, more specifically, morning routines. Those who have gone the highest and farthest have both literally and metaphorically done so on Rocket Fuel.

What’s exciting is that Rocket Fuel exists within us. It’s really more about how to light it up. Greater attention to mind and body makes room for the spirit - the primary component to lift off to new heights - an indescribable joy and feeling of abundance that can overflow our cups into the lives of others. My morning discipline of journaling gratitude alone reminds me that I am fortunate to not lack and have fuel enough to burn for others. Why me, why was I chosen to be born now, during these times in this country, in my family? I don’t know, but the realization of it all, gets me fired up in a positive way.

Living on Rocket Fuel I’ve found is the best way to live. The higher we go, the more perspective we gain and the more exciting and rewarding the journey.

This week, consider all the more how you light it up - and use your Rocket Fuel to get to Infinity and Beyond!

Make it a fired up week!
