inquire and flip from surviving to thriving

Why Team Weekly

Love and support.  From whence does it come?  Why is it important to ask?

When we come to believe that what we need most is outside of us, we live in fear that our lives could end as we know them.  Isn't this true?Consider the fact that our lives are only as we know them, how else could they be, and if any part of our lives are built on something that is not true, we will suffer when our lives encounter the truth.  When we depend on outside circumstances to achieve inner peace, we can awake every morning in a state of fear.  Fear of the unpredictable outside threat to our peace of mind and dependency on the status quo.  The status quo of our thoughts.  We humans fear change.  Why?  Because it...

...represents death.  Change means the old has died.  The old way of living, the old way of thinking and no doubt death is our core fear.  When we encounter change, we encounter the reality of our mortality.

Life is change, thus for us to thrive, we must live embracing change.  Otherwise our focus will be on surviving, not thriving, resisting change and what it represents.  Has not your life and it's constant change been for you?  Have you not become better, stronger and more capable for the very adversity life has given you? Have you not noticed that your adversity was primarily a resistance to change?  A resistance to life that is ever changing?!

A conflict between the perceived solidity in which you have become attached and the fluidity that is life itself.  How much more exciting and pleasurable it would have been if you had only welcomed, rather than resisted the changes in your life.  The desire to adhere to the status quo is a desire for immortality.  Consider how Breaking News can break your peace of mind, driving the thinking that there is no peace and I am living at risk.  Is not your life an example of what is possible?  Have you not overcome time and again.

What kind of life is it to be in a state of fear of losing that in which you have become attached?  Ask: Why do I choose to live this way? Has not your life experience revealed to you that your life has shown you the way? And can you really love what you cannot live without?  If you cannot live without it, you have become dependent on it.  You can come to serve it because it serves you?  Is that your why?  Know that whatever you have ever truly needed has been provided.  Be a strength to yourself from within.  Know that you already have within you what you need for you and for others.  Know this and you will have an abundance from inside out, embracing and welcoming life, welcoming change, receiving and becoming more of what you need for you and the world you seek to serve.

Change?  Invite it.

It happens for you, not to you.

Make it a great week,

Steve Luckenbach
